Cultivating Resilience with Passion, Purpose, and Emotional Intelligence – Episode 3

In this episode, Angie Lion of BRPM and the CEO of United Way of Southeast Idaho (former CEO of SEICAA), Shantay Bloxham, discuss ideas for growing resilient teams by helping them to understand their own emotions, the emotions of others, and how passion and purpose drive work and overall life satisfaction and retention of great employees and impact our communities in meaningful ways.

Shantay Bloxham, CEO at the United Way of Southeastern Idaho, a native of Pocatello, where she resides with her husband and their two children. Bloxham has long been guided to help create outcome-based solutions that address the barriers of poverty, always driven by a call to action. When she entered the nonprofit community in late 2007, she knew instantaneously that this line of work is what fuels her human spirit, in the way she had always imagined a harmonious work/life balance would be. Outside of work, Bloxham can be found volunteering, buried in a good book, or doing just about anything in the great Idaho outdoors with family and friends.
