No One Does It Alone: Building A Great Team Episode:27

In this episode, Angie Lion of Black River Performance Management and Dr. Dinu Mistry discusses the importance of the leadership competency TEAMWORK. Teamwork is defined as cooperating with others to meet objectives.

Dr. Mistry shares her experience of hiring, developing, and building a great team that optimally performs for better patient outcomes. She also shares the roadblocks she has observed over the years working in healthcare and as a woman in a leadership role. Teamwork is essential for any successful outcome. It is also a skill that can be grown.

Dr Dinu Mistry is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has been practicing in Boise since 2001. She is a Fulbright Scholar and received her medical degree from Washington University in St Louis. She pursued General and Plastic Surgery training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and continued her training with a fellowship in cancer reconstruction at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, both in Houston. Dr Mistry practiced for six years with the MacGregor Medical Association, a large multi-specialty physician group also located in Houston, where she served as section chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Chairman of the Department of Surgery.

She practices the full spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, but her areas of special interest are breast surgery (augmentation, reduction, lifts and reconstruction) and body contouring (tummy tucks and liposuction).
