In no particular order of importance, Stephanie Adams is a wife, dog mom, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, volunteer, employer and activist. She grew up in Colorado, but has lived in many states throughout her life, some of them twice! She graduated from Idaho State University (which was the first time she lived in Idaho) in 2001 and took her degree in Biology to several zoos across the nation. She started at Zoo Idaho then moved to the Fort Worth Zoo (TX) and ended her zookeeping career in Caribbean Gardens (Naples, FL). Animals have always been a big part of her life. In 2008, she founded Pocatello Pet Lodge, a boarding and grooming facility & doggie daycare center for pets. The business grew and in 2017 they opened a second location. The businesses won the statewide winner for Best Pet Boarding in Idaho in 2022 and 2023. They consistently win or are a finalist in the Idaho State Journal’s Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Pet Groomer. Stephanie is married and lives in Pocatello, ID (now, for the second time!). Her small menagerie currently includes one dog, three cats and an Amazon parrot. She enjoys camping, Netflix and medium distance running. Stephanie has earned several achievement awards including ISU’s Business Leader of the Year Award in 2020 and Zontian of the Year for the local club in 2018 and 2022. She is also a graduate of Leadership Pocatello, class of 2020. Stephanie’s 8-year membership in Zonta Club of Pocatello has afforded her many opportunities to serve her community and beyond. She is currently the Lt. Governor for District 8 and the immediate past President of the local club in Pocatello. She is a past Rotarian and a current member of the Idaho State University Alumni Board, serving her second term. Stephanie is also a member of the Pocatello Chiefs. She is always looking for ways to continue to give back to her community through her business and personal time.
